Historically referred to as “Dark Grey” switches, this is the linear variant of the Cherry MX Grey switch line up. Sometimes used over Cherry MX Black switches for a stiffer typing experience.

The linear version of a Cherry MX Grey switch, these were designed for use in spacebars in Cherry MX Brown keyboards. Some prefer this switch as a stiffer version of a Cherry MX Black, the higher bottom out force of 115 grams helping prevent bottom out. These are recommended to be lubricated for a smoother keystroke.
