The Cherry MX Silent Red switches offer the same linear feel as a Cherry MX Red switch, but with a much more muted bottom out, specifically designed to be a quieter option for keyboards. As a part of this silencing, the pre-travel and bottom out distances have been shortened to 1.9mm and 3.7mm respectively. A very good option when combined with lubrication for those looking for a smooth and quiet typing experience.

Quiet and smooth typing experience

For two years, I've relied on regular Cherry MX Red switches on my Lily58. However, returning to the office recently, the noise level became a distraction. I decided to switch to MX Silent Red switches. This change has been significant. Not only are they quieter, but the keys feel smoother and more dampened. I'm quite pleased with the upgrade and wish I'd made the switch earlier. The desoldering process to replace the old Cherry MX Red switches was a bit of a hassle, but the improved typing experience is well worth it.

Great middle of the road switches, which are quiet.

Great keys, a bit light on the spring for me so they are now my daughter's. 10/10

Great product I'm a idiot though thinking I can hot swap any keyboard switches. got myself a project now.
