The Cherry MX Speed Silver switches, or just “Speed switches”, are commonly sought after for the very short actuation distance and total travel (1.2mm and 3.4mm respectively) combined with the light operating force of 45g. These switches are typically associated with gaming, as the faster actuation can be an advantage in some instances. Bottoming out is very typical with this switch. These are one of the handful of switches Cherry has certified for more than 100 million actuations.
