HMX Xinhai

The HMX Xinhai switch sets itself apart from other MX switches in several distinct ways. Firstly, its top housing is made from PA12, a softer material compared to the more common PA66 or PA2, resulting in a less sharp and subdued top-out sound. The bottom housing, meanwhile, is crafted from a modified Nylon material, typical of HMX switches.

Interestingly, the Xinhai uses the same housing materials as the HMX Macchiato; the main difference between the two lies in the stem material. The Macchiato uses a POK stem, giving it a fuller, mid-range ‘thocky’ sound, while the Xinhai’s POM stem delivers a sharper, higher-pitched bottom-out sound.
