Corne Min PROTOTYPE Pre-Order
Description
Prototype Corne Min
An ultra-low-profile, wireless Corne keyboard—designed to be as minimal and minimalist as possible to make it the most lightweight and portable Corne on the market.
If you’re interested in joining our limited-run prototype, please read the entire page carefully. There are a few known issues we haven’t yet solved, and I want you to be fully aware before you purchase one of these prototypes.

The Corne Min is our thinnest, lightest, fully wireless Corne to date—stripped down to the essentials for maximum portability.

Prototype Caveats
-
Fragile PG1316S switches that can break if you remove keycaps. We will provide a demonstration of the best way to remove them when needed, but even then they can and often do break.
-
Home-printed case with slight surface imperfections—this isn’t a factory finish
-
No homing key bumps or notches. We can laser etch some in-house, but once again this will be a less than professional finish.
Switch Feel & Acoustics
-
Travel & tactility: At just 1.8 mm travel with a pronounced bump, these switches feel more like a premium laptop keyboard than a choc or MX switch
-
Acoustics: Out of the box, they can be rattly and unpleasant sounding. However, we include hand-cut paper shims to dampen noise and sharpen the tactile response, greatly improving the experience.
Personal note: As a long time MX-linear user, I found them uncomfortable at first—but after daily driving the Corne Min, their snappy feedback has grown on me. Ultimately, switch preference is very personal and I still suspect the mainstream custom keyboard users would not enjoy this switch.
Why Buy a Prototype?
-
Half-price compared to the planned retail release.
-
You’ll be one of the first to own a pre-soldered ultra-low-profile Corne.
-
The retail version will likely only differ in case material (and include a carry pouch).
-
You’ll help us gather real-world data on switch durability and typing comfort.
Why We’re Running This Prototype
The answer is data. We're still unsure on these switches. They allow us to build beautifully slim and minimalist keyboards, but there's very little information out there currently on their longevity and typing experience in the real world. So we're hoping to create a win-win situation where you get a really cool ultra low profile Corne without any soldering at half the price of the release version, and we get lots of data and feedback. Then we can use that information to make decisions for the future of the Corne Min project.
So if all that hasn't put you off, when you receive your Corne Min Prototype, please head over to our Discord and let us know about your experience with it!
